Internet Safety

Surfin' Safety

It is up to us to be safe on the Internet!  We don't "talk" with strangers in "real" life; we shouldn't talk with them online.  Simple.  Be Safe.

How To Surf (Search!) the Internet

Some search engines require Boolean Operators to be most effective in getting the exact data we need.   Some, such as "Google" no longer need them.  To produce good results when researching, it is good practice to put the main idea first, followed by ideas to narrow your search.  For instance, if you are interested in the governmental leader of a Canadian province, you'd type in the province first, followed by government (Ontario government).  Try it several ways to see what kind of results you come up with!

Some engines operate better with Boolean!  To find out more about Boolean, click on one of the following links!
