Hi, my name is Karen Wendholt. I am a graduate of Forest Park High School and the University of Southern Indiana with the distinction of magna cum laude. I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with a computer endorsement. Previously to becoming an educator, I earned an Associate Degree in Accounting and worked at a public accounting firm in Jasper, Indiana, for twelve years.
I am now in my 20th year of teaching at Ferdinand Elementary School. I love the teaching profession and love watching the students grow academically! In addition to serving on various school committees at Ferdinand Elementary, I am also the treasurer of the Southern Seven District Council. I was also the assistant coach for the Forest Park High School girls' soccer team for 9 years.
My husband is Roman Wendholt and we have three chilldren, Adam, Kristina, and Kelsey. Adam and his wife, Sarah, live in Jasper where he works for Masterbrand Cabinets. Kristina, a radiation therapist at Community Hospital, lives in Indianapolis, Indiana, with her husband, Tyler. Kelsey graduated from the Krannert School of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Indianapolis in May, 2015, and is currently working as a physical therapist at Parkview Hospital while her husband, Nick, is an athletic trainer at Trine University.
