The 2017-18 school year will be my ninth year teaching at the magnificent Cedar Crest Intermediate. I feel very fortunate to teach in such a quality school because of its hard-working students, highly-qualified staff members, the abundance of educational resources available, and its caring community members. We take pride in our students, and the learning that is created within in the walls of CCI each and every day.
I began my education by attending Dubois Elementary School. My prep career culminated with graduation from Northeast Dubois High School in 2005. From there, I moved on to Bloomington to attend Indiana University. My pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (Mathematics Concentration) ended in 2009 upon graduation from IU. In May 2013, I finished the necessary coursework and internships for my Master's Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Ball State University. I can honestly say I enjoyed every step of the process, and the activities will be very beneficial for my administrative goals in the future.
Other hats I wear for Southeast Dubois include being the Corporation Coordinator for High Ability, 5th Grade High Ability Coordinator, Basketball Coach/Supervisor, Forest Park Basketball Club President, and We Are Fit Instructor.
My wife, Sabrina, and I have been married for almost three years. Our son, Gage, will turn two before the end of August. We enjoy being outside, working in the garden, watching and playing sports, taking care of the cattle, and reading books of all levels. I also enjoy hunting, fishing, and cheering on the Indiana Hoosiers!
