Cops Cycling for Survivors

Cops Cycling for Survivors got a chance to catch their breath at Cedar Crest Intermediate School. On their journey they were able to meet 247 survivors and raise $56,000 on this year's ride.  This money will go directly to surviving families, other organizations that support fallen law enforcement officers and scholarships for fallen officers children.  All of this money stays right here in Indiana.  Congratulations on a safe and successful ride.  Here is a link to their website.

Dubois County CARES Project

(Dubois Co., IN) – One in four sophomores in Dubois County drink alcohol on a monthly basis.  It is easier for youth to get marijuana than alcohol.  Both are staggering thoughts that are of concern to community members and parents.  A new group has been formed in Dubois County to address local issues of alcohol and drug use among youth.  The group, Dubois County Coalition for Adolescent Resilience and Empowerment Strategies or “CARES” has been working to organize itself and introduce the coalition to the community.  Four town hall style meetings or community conversations will be held in each of the four school districts in Dubois County.
