Since earning my Bachelor's degree in K-12 Visual Arts Education in 2003 from IUPUI's Herron School of Art and the School of Education, I have had the pleasure to work in three schools. Before coming to the Southeast Dubois School Corportation, I taught at English Elementary and at Carmel High School. Then in 2006 I began instructing preschool through fourth grade art classes at Pine Ridge and Ferdinand Elementary. In 2013, I earned my Master's of Education degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.
As an art teacher, I see all classes once a week for a 40 minute session. It is during this short period of time that something magical happens, ideas become reality, and students embrace their unique abilities to create. I truly love art and being able to share it with my students makes everyday an important one to me.
