The Lady Rangers had a very outstanding season ending 19-2. They were lead by a very strong group of 7 seniors and had a lot of talented underclassmen too. With coming back from a semi state run the past year, the Rangers had a lot to achieve. We interviewed the head coach Brad Weyer and here is what he had to say about the 2021 Girls Soccer team “The 2021 season was an exciting one for multiple reasons: we had just come off a , team first, regional championship and we were returning most of our starters. I knew expectations would be raised for this season, and I knew we had to bring the intensity starting already in the offseason. I knew coming into the season that we would be guided by an experienced senior class who was self-driven and demanded the most of their teammates, so I was not necessarily concerned about our motivation.” During the regular season senior Madi Wathen held this team very strong and was an excellent keeper. “The thing I will remember most is only allowing three regular season goals and five total after our playoff run. Coming into the sectional, I knew were heavily favored; however, I also knew that every other team would be out to beat us.” said Coach Weyer when asked about what is most memorable about this season. Every team they played knew that it was going to be a tough game but the Lady Rangers remained strong and kept winning. With going into the postseason with only one loss, the Rangers were very excited to be going into sectionals as the favorites. However being the favorites doesn't always mean you will win, the Rangers showed that they were the best team.
